It was was founded in April 1948, after World War II by Attty. Matias Ponce Perez Sr.. On its first year of academic operation (1948-49) their course offerings were limited to Elementary Teacher’s Certificate and Bachelor of Science in Education.
“Because it was felt that the old name, CTC was no longer suitable considering the fact that the Institution has begun to offer other courses other than teaching, the Board of Trustees in 1983 amended Article II of the original Articles of Incorporation to change the Institution’s name to Cagayan Colleges Tuguegarao.”
“Today, UCV has now two campuses (Balzain and College Avenue) and is now offering Basic Education, Terminal programs, Ladderized Education, Baccalaureate degrees, Post Baccalaureate and Graduate School programs.”
